There are no shortages of flip-flops, scams and scandals of the Cons. Bev Oda taking limos everywhere or kicking people out of the caucus when they disagree just right off the top of my head.
When I made this site the purpose was for outright lies. Personally I don't consider the softwood lumber issue a lie, but it was submitted to me by a user with a pretty detailed description and so I added it to the site and decided to let the public decide if it was a lie or not. All the other issues I consider lies though.
For example Harper was in complete control of calling an election, he said he wouldn't, and he did... that is a lie, plain and simple.
Sometimes I agree with Harper's actions. I think Income Trusts should be taxed, but whether or not I agree with Harper in his actions does not change the fact that he lied when he promised he wouldn't tax them. This was a huge deal and implemented 8 months into government. Something like this is not decided overnight, if we are to give the Cons the benefit of the doubt (which they have not earned) and assume they are telling the truth when they said they had a fiscal plan during the election, then the Income Trust cut was in their plans and they outright lied. That or they lied when they said they had a plan.
The issue I am getting at is when you vote, it shouldn't be an issue if you agree with him or not, it is whether or not he lied.
